CVSS v3.1 |
| ImageMagick before 7.1.2-33 contains a memory leak vulnerability in the FPX encoder that allows attackers to exhaust memory by supplying a crafted image. Attackers can submit crafted images for FPX encoding to leak memory repeatedly, causing resource exhaustion and denial of service. |
| ImageMagick before 6.9.13-58 and 7.x before 7.1.2-33 contains a memory leak in the MSL decoder that fails to release allocated memory when processing a crafted MSL image. Attackers can supply crafted MSL files for processing to repeatedly leak memory, causing resource exhaustion and denial of service. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfs: Fix subreq ref leak
Fix a subrequest ref leak in netfs_unbuffered_write() in the event that
subreq->io_iter ends up zero length during preparation. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs: fix kmap_local leak in write_mft_record_nolock() error paths
write_mft_record_nolock() maps the MFT record folio with
kmap_local_folio(), but the pre_write_mst_fixup() and
bio_add_folio() failure paths jump to the error label without
unmapping it. kmap_local mappings are stack-ordered per task, so
leaking one corrupts the nesting for any outer mapping.
Unmap the folio on those error paths too. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
accel/amdxdna: put the chained BO when its mapping fails
amdxdna_cmd_set_error() looks up the first BO of a command chain, which
takes a reference, and drops it at the end of the function. The mapping of
that BO is established in between, and the failure path returns without the
put, so the reference is leaked.
Ordinary use does not reach it. The chain has been submitted before any of
this runs, so aie2_cmdlist_fill_slot() has already called
amdxdna_cmd_get_op() on that BO and amdxdna_gem_vmap() has cached its
address. What makes it reachable is that the BO is resolved again by
handle here, and the handle is userspace's to recycle: closing it after
submission and importing a dma-buf whose exporter implements no vmap onto
the same id leaves amdxdna_gem_get_obj() returning an object this cannot
map, since prime_import() types every import AMDXDNA_BO_SHARE. |
| ImageMagick before 6.9.13-58 and 7.x before 7.1.2-33 contains a memory leak in the handling of the -cdl (color decision list) option, where allocated memory is not cleaned up after use. Attackers can supply input that causes the -cdl option to be processed, repeatedly leaking memory and degrading availability through resource exhaustion. |
| ImageMagick before 6.9.13-58 and 7.x before 7.1.2-33 contains a memory leak in the handling of XMP profiles by various decoders. Attackers can supply images with a crafted XMP profile that leak memory each time they are processed, leading to resource exhaustion and denial of service. |
| ImageMagick before 6.9.13-58 and 7.x before 7.1.2-33 contains a memory leak in the JNG encoder that fails to release allocated memory when processing a crafted image. Attackers can supply crafted images that are encoded to JNG to leak memory, potentially causing resource exhaustion and a limited denial of service. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fs/ntfs3: fix ntfs_mount_options leak in ntfs_fill_super()
In ntfs_fill_super(), the fc->fs_private pointer is set to NULL without
first freeing the memory it points to. This causes the subsequent call to
ntfs_fs_free() to skip freeing the ntfs_mount_options structure.
This results in a kmemleak report:

entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e
This issue can be reproduced using the following commands:
fallocate -l 100M test.file
mount test.file /tmp/test
Since sbi->options is duplicated from fc->fs_private and does not
directly use the memory allocated for fs_private, it is unnecessary to
set fc->fs_private to NULL.
Additionally, this patch simplifies the code by utilizing the helper
function put_mount_options() instead of open-coding the cleanup logic. |
| ImageMagick before 7.1.2-33 contains a memory leak vulnerability in the MAT decoder that fails to release allocated memory in a specific error path. Attackers can supply crafted MAT files that trigger this error path repeatedly, causing small memory leaks that gradually consume process memory. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
gve: fix XSK buffer leak on error descriptor
When the error bit is set in the RX completion descriptor, the buf_state
and its attached buffer should be freed. In the case of AF_XDP ZC, the
XSK buffer was not freed, leading to a leak.
This issue was caught by LLM. |
| MessagePack is the serializer implementation for Python msgpack.org. Prior to 1.2.3, the msgpack-python C extension (msgpack._cmsgpack) leaks a decoded map value when deserialization rejects a key with strict_map_key=True (the default). Repeated malformed inputs can cause unbounded process memory growth and denial of service in applications that deserialize attacker-controlled MessagePack data. Both unpackb() and the streaming Unpacker API are affected. The pure-Python fallback does not exhibit this leak in the reported tests. This issue is fixed in version 1.2.3. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: xilinx: axienet: Free outstanding DMA buffers on dmaengine stop
In the dmaengine path the driver pre-submits RX buffers and holds
in-flight TX buffers whose SKBs are DMA-mapped by the driver and freed
only in the completion callbacks. On ndo_stop() dmaengine_terminate_sync()
aborts these descriptors without running their callbacks, and the driver
then frees only the ring shells, leaking every SKB still owned by the
engine and its DMA mapping on each ifdown. With 128 RX buffers pre-posted
per channel, the mapping leak can eventually exhaust a limited IOMMU
aperture.
Clear the slot's skb in the TX and RX callbacks so a non-NULL skb marks a
slot that still owns a live, DMA-mapped buffer, and on stop unmap and free
every such buffer.
axienet_dma_rx_cb() runs from the DMA tasklet and re-arms the RX ring on
each completion, so it can race axienet_stop(): a completion may submit a
fresh buffer after dmaengine_terminate_sync() has returned, leaving the
channel armed with a buffer the teardown then frees while the engine may
still write into it (dma_release_channel() does not stop it either). Add a
lock that axienet_dma_rx_cb() holds across the @stopping check and the
resubmit, and axienet_stop() holds to set @stopping before terminating.
Once @stopping is set no callback can arm a new buffer, and any armed just
before is aborted by the terminate, so teardown only frees buffers the
engine no longer owns. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ASoC: amd: yc: fix memory leak in acp6x_pdm_dma_close()
acp6x_pdm_dma_close() does not free the runtime->private_data buffer
allocated in acp6x_pdm_dma_open(). Add the missing kfree. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
vsock: Fix memory leak in vmci_transport_recv_dgram_cb()
During the closure of a datagram socket, the vmci_transport_recv_dgram_cb()
function may be called, which will add the packets
to the socket's backlog; then, after the receive queue is cleared,
the __release_sock() function will move the packet back from the socket's
backlog to the receive queue, which will lead to a memory leak.

| Missing release of memory after effective lifetime in Remote Desktop Gateway Service allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: mpi3mr: Fix target device refcount leak in mpi3mr_sas_port_add()
mpi3mr_get_tgtdev_by_addr() increments the target device kref when it
returns a device. If a subsequent error triggers a goto out_fail after
the tgtdev reference is acquired, the reference is never released
because the out_fail path does not call mpi3mr_tgtdev_put(). This
prevents the target device structure from ever being freed.
Add a tgtdev put in the out_fail path, guarded by a NULL check since
tgtdev is only acquired for SAS_END_DEVICE types and the same cleanup
path is shared by earlier error cases where tgtdev is still NULL. |
| Multiple Cisco products are affected by a vulnerability in the memory management implementation of Snort 3 that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the Snort 3 Detection Engine to restart, resulting in an interruption of packet inspection.
This vulnerability is due to incomplete error checking when Snort 3 processes files, which could cause unreleased memory. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a large number of files to be processed. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the Snort 3 Detection Engine to restart unexpectedly, resulting in a DoS condition. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb/server: fix tree connection leak in smb2_tree_connect()
See the procedure below:

ksmbd_iov_pin_rsp // fail
status.ret = KSMBD_TREE_CONN_STATUS_NOMEM
// do not disconnect tree_conn
Disconnect the new tree connection if ksmbd_iov_pin_rsp() fails. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: stmmac: fix dma mapping leak in stmmac_tso_xmit()
In stmmac_tso_xmit(), if the DMA mapping of an skb fragment fails, the
frame is dropped but the DMA mappings already created for the linear
part and for the fragments mapped before the failure are never
unmapped, leaking DMA mappings.
Fix the leak by walking back over the descriptors used by the frame and
releasing each of them with stmmac_free_tx_buffer(). Moreover, release
the descriptors with stmmac_release_tx_desc() unmapping the DMA buffers. |
