CVE-2026-64255 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-16 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mld: validate sta_mask before ffs() in BA session handlers Three BA session handlers use ffs(ba_data->sta_mask) - 1 to derive a station ID without checking that sta_mask is non-zero. When sta_mask is zero, ffs() returns 0 and the subtraction wraps to 0xFFFFFFFF, causing an out-of-bounds access on fw_id_to_link_sta[]. Add WARN_ON_ONCE(!ba_data->sta_mask) guards before each ffs() call, consistent with the existing check in iwl_mld_ampdu_rx_start().
CVE-2026-43071 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-16 9.1 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dcache: Limit the minimal number of bucket to two There is an OOB read problem on dentry_hashtable when user sets 'dhash_entries=1': BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ffff888b30b774b0 #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode #PF: error_code(0x0000) - not-present page Oops: Oops: 0000 [#1] SMP PTI RIP: 0010:__d_lookup+0x56/0x120 Call Trace: d_lookup.cold+0x16/0x5d lookup_dcache+0x27/0xf0 lookup_one_qstr_excl+0x2a/0x180 start_dirop+0x55/0xa0 simple_start_creating+0x8d/0xa0 debugfs_start_creating+0x8c/0x180 debugfs_create_dir+0x1d/0x1c0 pinctrl_init+0x6d/0x140 do_one_initcall+0x6d/0x3d0 kernel_init_freeable+0x39f/0x460 kernel_init+0x2a/0x260 There will be only one bucket in dentry_hashtable when dhash_entries is set as one, and d_hash_shift is calculated as 32 by dcache_init(). Then, following process will access more than one buckets(which memory region is not allocated) in dentry_hashtable: d_lookup b = d_hash(hash) dentry_hashtable + ((u32)hashlen >> d_hash_shift) // The C standard defines the behavior of right shift amounts // exceeding the bit width of the operand as undefined. The // result of '(u32)hashlen >> d_hash_shift' becomes 'hashlen', // so 'b' will point to an unallocated memory region. hlist_bl_for_each_entry_rcu(b) hlist_bl_first_rcu(head) h->first // read OOB! Fix it by limiting the minimal number of dentry_hashtable bucket to two, so that 'd_hash_shift' won't exceeds the bit width of type u32.
CVE-2026-46193 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: ah: account for ESN high bits in async callbacks AH allocates its temporary auth/ICV layout differently when ESN is enabled: the async ahash setup appends a 4-byte seqhi slot before the ICV or auth_data area, but the async completion callbacks still reconstruct the temporary layout as if seqhi were absent. With an async AH implementation selected, that makes AH copy or compare the wrong bytes on both the IPv4 and IPv6 paths. In UML repro on IPv4 AH with ESN and forced async hmac(sha1), ping fails with 100% packet loss, and the callback logs show the pre-fix drift: ah4 output_done: esn=1 err=0 icv_off=20 expected_off=24 ah4 input_done: esn=1 auth_off=20 expected_auth_off=24 icv_off=32 expected_icv_off=36 Reconstruct the callback-side layout the same way the setup path built it by skipping the ESN seqhi slot before locating the saved auth_data or ICV. Per RFC 4302, the ESN high-order 32 bits participate in the AH ICV computation, so the async callbacks must account for the seqhi slot. Post-fix, the same IPv4 AH+ESN+forced-async-hmac(sha1) UML repro shows the corrected offset (ah4 output_done: esn=1 err=0 icv_off=24 expected_off=24) and ping succeeds; net/ipv4/ah4.o and net/ipv6/ah6.o build clean at W=1. IPv6 AH+ESN was not exercised at runtime, and the change has not been tested against a real async hardware AH engine.
CVE-2026-107570 1 Mutt 1 Mutt 2026-10-10 2.5 Low
heap OOB write in convert_file_from_to() via a crafted Content-Type header allows attacker to OOB write when email is used as a template.
CVE-2026-104944 1 Tp-link 1 Tapo C500 V2 2026-10-09 N/A
TP-Link Tapo C500 v2.0 contains an out-of-bounds function-pointer dispatch in its TDP (TP-Link Device Protocol) daemon. A single unauthenticated UDP datagram can cause an invalid indirect call, crashing the main service and resulting in a denial-of-service condition. Successful exploitation may allow an unauthenticated attacker with network access to the affected UDP service to repeatedly crash the TDP daemon, disrupting normal device operation and availability. No authentication, session establishment, or pairing is required to trigger the condition.
CVE-2026-98273 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-06 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/kprobes: Fix crash when probing CS CALL instructions When using eBPF to probe CS CALL instructions within a function, a crash can be triggered. The eBPF tool probes offset 257 of the __hrtimer_run_queues() function: <__hrtimer_run_queues+249>: nopl 0x0(%rax,%rax,1) <__hrtimer_run_queues+254>: mov %r14,%rdi <__hrtimer_run_queues+257>: cs call <__x86_indirect_thunk_r12> <__hrtimer_run_queues+263>: mov %eax,%r12d <__hrtimer_run_queues+266>: xchg %ax,%ax <__hrtimer_run_queues+268>: mov %r13,%rdi Which triggers this crash: BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: 00000000000f41c9 #PF: supervisor write access in kernel mode #PF: error_code(0x0002) - not-present page PGD 0 P4D 0 Oops: 0002 [#1] SMP NOPTI CPU: 1 PID: 0 Comm: swapper/1 Kdump: loaded Tainted: P RIP: 0010:__hrtimer_run_queues+0x106/0x230 Note that __hrtimer_run_queues+0x106 is __hrtimer_run_queues+262, which is at the 6th byte of the above CS CALL instruction. Since the CS CALL instruction occupies 6 bytes, the exception occurred in the middle of that call instruction. The root cause is that when using eBPF tools to probe in the middle of a function, a kprobe with INT3 is used as the underlying implementation. During single-step emulation of the original CALL instruction, int3_emulate_call() assumes that the probed CALL instruction is 5 bytes long. However, the actual CS-prefixed CALL instruction occupies 6 bytes, so it constructs an incorrect exception return address. When the CPU returns from the kprobe handler, the next instruction to be executed is at the address of the last byte of that CS CALL instruction. Coincidentally, starting from that address, the CPU fetches and decodes a completely different instruction, which ultimately triggers a kernel crash. Fix the issue by using the actual instruction length obtained from the instruction decoder when constructing the exception return address, rather than relying on the hardcoded CALL_INSN_SIZE macro. CVE-2026-102757 1 Eclipse 1 Threadx 2026-10-02 N/A
An unprivileged, memory-protected ThreadX module can have the kernel read and write memory at addresses of its choosing, in privileged mode, and can use that to clear the MPU enable bit and remove its own isolation boundary. The Module Manager decided whether a privileged service could dereference an object address a module named by asking only whether that address fell outside the module. The manager's object pool is outside every module, so the test was satisfied by an address shifted into the interior of one of the module's own privileged allocations, which denotes no object at all. The bytes such an address presents as a control block are bytes the module put there through ordinary create and set services, so the control block ID at the front of them could be made to read as any type the module chose, and the `_txe_` layer's ID test then agreed. The reported chain uses that to reach a privileged `memset` across an attacker-chosen range.
CVE-2026-97944 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/cfi: Fix FineIBT hash offset in cfi_get_func_hash() The switch of the FineIBT preamble from "subl $hash, %r10d" to the shorter "subl $hash, %eax" moved the hash immediate from offset 7 to offset 5 of the preamble. fineibt_preamble_hash was updated to match, but the open-coded offset in cfi_get_func_hash() was missed and it still reads the hash at offset 7. cfi_get_func_hash() is used by the BPF JIT to give a struct_ops trampoline the CFI hash of the stub function it stands in for. With FineIBT the trampoline now gets the upper half of the real hash followed by the first two bytes of the next instruction, so the first indirect call from the kernel into a struct_ops program, tcp_init_congestion_control() calling ->init() of a BPF congestion control for example, fails the FineIBT check and the kernel dies with a CFI failure. Move the FineIBT preamble template and its offset defines above cfi_get_func_hash() and use fineibt_preamble_hash there, so every reader of the preamble shares one definition of its layout. The CFI_FINEIBT arm is only built with CONFIG_FINEIBT, the only configuration in which cfi_mode can take that value. cfi_get_func_arity() does not need the same treatment: the __bhi_args call whose displacement it reads still ends at the function address.
CVE-2026-63209 1 Klauspost 1 Compress 2026-09-30 7.5 High
compress provides various compression algorithms. Prior to version 1.18.7, a signed integer overflow vulnerability in s2.NewDict() allows an attacker to bypass repeat index validation by supplying a dictionary with a uvarint-encoded repeat value exceeding MaxInt64. When Dict.Encode() is subsequently called, the overflowed negative repeat value causes an out-of-bounds memory access via unsafe.Pointer arithmetic, crashing the process with SIGSEGV. This issue has been patched in version 1.18.7.
CVE-2023-2426 4 Apple, Fedoraproject, Neovim and 1 more 4 Macos, Fedora, Neovim and 1 more 2026-09-24 5.3 Medium
Use of Out-of-range Pointer Offset in GitHub repository vim/vim prior to 9.0.1499.
CVE-2026-28764 1 Mediaarea 2 Mediainfo, Mediainfolib 2026-09-23 7.8 High
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the LXF element parsing functionality of MediaInfoLib (version(s): 26.01). A specially crafted .lxf file can lead to arbitrary code execution. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this vulnerability.
CVE-2026-48977 1 Openslide 1 Openslide 2026-09-18 N/A
OpenSlide is a C library for reading whole slide image files. From 3.4.1 until 4.0.1, OpenSlide's parse_level0_xml() processing in src/openslide-vendor-ventana.c accepts nonpositive row or column tile counts from a crafted Ventana BIF file. The invalid counts produce attacker-controlled relative memory offsets and allow arbitrary values to be written at those offsets, affecting all supported platforms and configurations and resulting in a crash or potential arbitrary code execution. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.1.
CVE-2025-31936 1 Intel 147 Xeon, Xeon 6315p, Xeon 6315p Firmware and 144 more 2026-09-18 5.7 Medium
Improper handling of overlap between protected memory ranges for some Intel(R) Xeon(R) 6 processors when using Intel(R) TDX within SMM may allow an escalation of privilege. SMM adversary with a privileged user combined with a high complexity attack may enable escalation of privilege. This result may potentially occur via local access when attack requirements are present with special internal knowledge and requires no user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (high), integrity (high) and availability (none) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (none) impacts.
CVE-2026-89678 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-13 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: fix partial-write detection in nfsd_direct_write nfsd_direct_write() walks a list of write segments and, after each vfs_iocb_iter_write(), tries to detect a short write so the loop can stop before placing the next segment at a wrong file offset: host_err = vfs_iocb_iter_write(file, kiocb, &segments[i].iter); if (host_err < 0) return host_err; *cnt += host_err; if (host_err < segments[i].iter.count) break; /* partial write */ vfs_iocb_iter_write() runs the iter through ->write_iter(), which advances the iter by the number of bytes written. By the time the check runs, segments[i].iter.count is the residual, not the original request length: before write_iter: iter.count == original_len after write_iter: iter.count == original_len - host_err The condition then reduces to host_err < original_len - host_err, so the break fires only when less than half of the segment was written. Any short write completing between 50% and 99% of the segment slips through; the loop advances to the next segment with kiocb->ki_pos only bumped by the short amount, writing the next segment's payload at the wrong offset and over-reporting *cnt to the NFS client. Snapshot the segment's byte count before the write and compare host_err against that snapshot so any short write breaks the loop.
CVE-2026-31912 1 Tcpdump 1 Libpcap 2026-09-08 5.5 Medium
libpcap BPF interpreter detects neither reaching the end of the filter program buffer due to lack of a return instruction nor executing a jump instruction with an offset that translates to a pointer outside of the buffer. In particular uncommon use cases a crafted filter program can cause the interpreter to try reading the OS process memory in the 32GiB around the buffer on 64-bit architectures and in the entire address space on 32-bit architectures.
CVE-2024-42391 1 Cesanta 1 Mongoose 2026-09-08 4.3 Medium
Use of Out-of-range Pointer Offset vulnerability in Cesanta Mongoose Web Server v7.14 allows an attacker to send an unexpected TLS packet and force the application to read unintended heap memory space.
CVE-2024-42386 1 Cesanta 1 Mongoose 2026-09-08 8.2 High
Use of Out-of-range Pointer Offset vulnerability in Cesanta Mongoose Web Server v7.14 allows an attacker to send an unexpected TLS packet and produce a segmentation fault on the application.
CVE-2026-72642 1 Elastic 1 Elasticsearch 2026-09-01 8.8 High
The native inference process that Elasticsearch uses to evaluate uploaded machine learning models accepts a model operation that computes a memory address from an offset supplied inside the model, without validating that the offset stays within the bounds of the underlying storage. A user with the privileges required to upload and deploy a trained model can craft a model that reads and writes memory outside the intended allocation. The result is heap corruption that crashes the inference process, and, with sufficient control over the heap layout, could allow arbitrary code execution in the context of that process.
CVE-2026-45199 1 Imaginationtech 1 Graphics Ddk 2026-08-26 7.8 High
Kernel software installed and running inside a Guest VM may post improper commands to the GPU Firmware to trigger a write of data outside the Guest's virtualised GPU memory. Software installed and run under a Guest VM can send commands to the GPU which result in out of bounds memory accesses. These can be used to escalate privileges.
CVE-2026-74585 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-25 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: thunderbolt: Bound the DROM dual link port number before indexing sw->ports tb_drom_parse_entry_port() validates the device-supplied header->index against sw->config.max_port_number before indexing sw->ports[], but the sibling field entry->dual_link_port_nr -- a 6-bit value also read from the DROM -- indexes the same array with no such check. A malicious or malformed Thunderbolt device can set dual_link_port_nr beyond the allocated sw->ports[] (max_port_number + 1 entries), producing an out-of-bounds tb_port pointer that is stored and later dereferenced. Reject a port entry whose dual_link_port_nr exceeds max_port_number, the same bound already applied to header->index.
